Policies subject to change at any time.
All students and/or guardians are required to sign a contract
agreeing to these policies before beginning lessons.
DMVSS accepts students 5 years old and up.
General studio hours (contact for availability):
Monthly package discount is only for students committing to one session per week. Students may attend on a bi-weekly or occasional basis but will not qualify for the package discount. DMVSS is run like any dance school, acting school, etc. You pay for a monthly package of sessions (payment due on the 25th), you receive X number of sessions in that month (four or five, depending on the day your weekly session falls; i.e. if your lesson day is Tuesday, some months have four Tuesdays, some have five). If you must reschedule a session, ideally it should be during the same week, but all make up sessions must be concluded by the end of month or they expire (see cancellation policy below).
Minors must have a parent or guardian make scheduling and payment arrangements. Sessions take place in person at Darci's home studio in Valley Glen/Van Nuys or anywhere via Zoom. Parents/guardians may sit in on the first session.

Sessions are pre-paid via Venmo, Cash App, Zelle or Square (sorry, we do not take cash or checks). Once we've received your payment you will be contacted within 24 hours to book your session date and time. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy and a no refund policy (see cancellation policy below). If you have any questions or concerns prior to your booking, please call us at 818-209-6432. Phone consultations are always free. If an appointment is scheduled over the phone prior to payment, it is not confirmed until payment is received.
CANCELLATION / LATE ARRIVAL / LATE PAYMENT
~THERE IS A STRICT 24 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY. Full rate will be charged for any session cancelled less than 24 hours before scheduled session time. Make ups are scheduled at the sole discretion of Darci Monet.
~THERE IS A 30 DAY NOTICE-TO-QUIT POLICY. Students who attend weekly sessions/pay monthly must give 30 days notice before discontinuing lessons.
~NO SHOWS are not rescheduled, the student is dropped from the roster and no refund for unused lessons will be provided.

~THERE IS A $10.00 PER DAY LATE FEE. For weekly students, monthly payment is due on the 25th of each month. DMVSS sends one reminder text around the 20th and again on the 25th, but it is ultimately the student's or guardian's responsibility to know when tuition is due.
~THERE ARE NO REFUNDS GIVEN FOR ANY REASON.
~WEEKLY STUDENTS WHO MISS THE TUITION PAYMENT DEADLINE will not receive further sessions until the fee is paid and any session(s) missed in the meantime will expire.
~IF A STUDENT IS LATE TO THE SESSION, full rate is still expected and DMVSS is under no obligation to extend the session or reschedule.
~ANY SESSION CANCELED BY THE STUDENT SHOULD BE RESCHEDULED WITHIN THE WEEK IF AT ALL POSSIBLE BUT MUST BE RESCHEDULED BEFORE THE END OF THE MONTH OR THAT SESSION WILL EXPIRE. Makeup lessons can only be scheduled during DMVSS studio hours.
~ANY SESSION CANCELLED BY DARCI MONET will be rescheduled at the earliest possible convenience for both parties, including outside of DMVSS hours, and there is no expiration window.
